Group 8 Topic:”How to be successful in your job” ************************* Dear you! We live in period of time that our country is transfer from positive economic to social economic. We always feel excited and proud to say that Vietnam is developing day by day. And you? Passed everyday, do you think it’s a memorable day? Each day passed, you can feel joy because you have to add a step to your success. We were born and grew up on the home’s letters S and you believe that the development of our country also has a little part of your contribution. Your country wants to develop. It must have a lot of successful people. But have you ever think that: “What is Success? “ Define success by the dictionary: “Success is finishing a plan, success is completed “ In your job, you finish your work with a good result, it’s successful! There are many ways to the success. But I think a successful man must have 4 basic conditions: Good “hard abilities” Good “soft abilities” Diligence and strive for the future Luck And now, we will discuss about this topic. 1/ Good “hard abilities” As you know, to success in our job, we should study assiduously .We can study everywhere. A well knowledge is found in real-life. The knowledge we study in our university is our professional ability. Professional ability is the basis of your career. A good professional ability can help you work well. Each university teaches you a professional ability for your future job. Example, if you want to become an engineer, you can study in Hanoi University of Technology or Hanoi University of Industry. You should join to National Economic University , Foreign Trade University or Vietnam University of Commerce if you want to become a business man. In university, you are taught that what to do or how to do. Teachers taught you much useful knowledge. University seems to be a… The most important thing is you have to study hard. Many student becomes more and more lazy, and I think it’s very dangerous .You have to know, in the moment, you study for your future. The knowledge you are taught in your university is very useful for your future job. You will use it everyday and everywhere in your work. Because of its important, if you don’t have a good ability, you won’t find any good result in work. Theory is important but practice is more important. High marks and many commendations don’t help you success in your job. You have to practice in a real-job; it will develop your theory. It’s take you a chance to express yourself. Don’t worry about it. It’s only an exam in your class .the only thing you have to do is work with your actual ability. I think you can do it well. Sometimes Professional ability is not only things you study in university but also things you can collect from daily work. Especial things we can learn from your colleagues. Sometimes it’s a small experiment in business, in sale or in account … but it can help you built your ability. 2/ Good “soft abilities” In your job, next to hard abilities of professional knowledge, you need to have more abilities. These are soft abilities. Most of soft abilities are abilities of human’s character, not professional knowledge. These abilities are very important in your career. *Effect communication: When you are in contact with everybody well, it’s makes your job influent. Communication is the way that you make relative with your colleagues in your company. It helps you persuade others to agree your views and to show your demands. Remember, how to hear is communication too. *Friendly with your colleagues: You have to show people know you always want to collaborate with them in job and you want to make relative in job. Like that, you can have many friends. When you have difficult matters, they will help you. That helps you work everything better. *Faculty of creation: Creating and intelligent are estimated well. You should try to find a good way to work best for yourself. Sometimes you need some little creation which makes you work more easily. *Have a sanguine sentiment (a good thinking about our life) All of the good thinking makes us work better. For example, when you have to work so hard, you will feel bored. Instead of explaining, you should think that it’s your opportunity which helps you to show how you can work. *Have confident of success: Only you know what you good at and you have to show everybody now that. Keep your believe in success and you can work better. In addition, always recognize and learn from comments. Useful comments help you fill blanks in your knowledge. *Team working: You need to work in a team. There are many problems you can’t handle. You need to help. And your colleagues will help you. A team is a group of people who all have good will and share the same goals. They work together and try together to achieve these goals. Cooperation will create an immense power for every group. People who are united and stand together overcome hard situations and succeed in the end. At last, you have to combine all of these abilities, which make your soft abilities better. 3/ Diligence and strive for the future One entrepreneur said:”you work 8 hour a day to survive, but work more 8 hour a day to achieve succeed “ When you ask any successful business man about working time, they will respond to you immediately that they must work more than 6o hours a week. You need to give up habits as going to the café after work because it’s not necessary. You need to do step-by-step because breaking a habit is difficult .And perhaps you must cancel your holidays to have more time to do your work. I think when we have a great love with a job; we will have consciousness with it. Try to be a diligent staff is not difficult. You should go to work on time and sufficient. If you are at the starting, you need more diligence. You have to live with your job until you have a firm work. Try to work hard and don’t waste your time. To get success in your job, next to a good knowledge and good skills, you have to try day-by-day. We always need to try, when we get failure and we are successful. When we get failure, we shouldn’t get discouraged. Many people get discouraged when they encounter failure. They lose confident in their ability to continue with their jobs. These people don’t take time to realize that failure helps them to have more real experiences which lead them to success in future endeavors. In fact, in implementing a project, no matter how well we have prepared and organized it in advance, we might meet with some difficulties and may fail for some unforeseen reasons. If we are patient enough, review and evaluate the project and do it again, our chances for success will improve. To get success is difficult but to keep success is more difficult. When we have got success in work, we shouldn’t subjective. Remember that no one is perfect. That means we have to try to perfect ourselves. I think we may join in an English class to practice your speaking or writing skill. Some example: Communication Skill, English for Finance… Sometimes we can learn from our colleagues. Working in a team, we have chance to work with some useful colleagues. And we will have more occasions to get success .Members of a team help each other to finish a work perfectly. After that, we can learn many good experiences from them which lead you to the way to your success. 4/ Luck: The harder we work, the more success we have. Success contains 99% your hard-working and only 1% luck. However, sometimes luck is very important. It brings you unbelievable success. But you shouldn’t depend on luck. Don’t be lazy! Try so hard and got so far .Because things we do by your ability are unshakeable. ***We talked about “How to be successful in your job”. I think you have different ways to your success but things we do by your try are good. Only you can build your way to your success. A day passed.
