Luận án Ảnh hưởng của đặc điểm công việc tới sở hữu tâm lý và tác động của sở hữu tâm lý tới thực hiện công việc tại các doanh nghiệp ở Việt Nam

Từ những hạn chế nghiên cứu và khoảng trống nghiên cứu đã được trình bầy, tác giả xin đề xuất những hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo về sở hữu tâm lý. Đối với nghiên cứu về sở hữu tâm lý nói chung, về khoảng trống nghiên cứu thuộc thuật ngữ và thang đo, chưa có nghiên cứu nào chứng minh sự tách biệt của sở hữu tâm lý với nội hoá và cần có nghiên cứu chứng minh sự tách biệt này (Dawkins và cộng sự, 2017). Ngoài ra, cho đến nay có hai thang đo dành cho sở hữu tâm lý gồm có thang đo do Van Dyne và Pierce (2004) và do Brown, Crossley, và cộng sự (2014) và những nhà nghiên cứu đang sử dụng xen kẽ 2 thang đo này. Cần có một nghiên cứu chỉ ra trong trường hợp nào sử dụng thang đo nào. Ngoài ra, các nghiên cứu về sở hữu tâm lý phần lớn dựa trên cách tiếp cận của lý thuyết sở hữu tâm lý trong đó cho rằng sở hữu tâm lý bắt nguồn từ động lực bên trong. Tuy nhiên, sở hữu tâm lý dựa trên hai nền tảng chủ yếu, đó là nền tảng động lực bên trong và nền tảng cùng có lợi (Wagner và cộng sự, 2003). Vì vậy, cần có những cách tiếp cận khác ngoài cách tiếp cận của lý thuyêt sở hữu tâm lý, ví dụ như dựa trên thuyết trao đổi xã hội, thuyết nhận diện xã hội (Dawkins và cộng sự, 2017) hay thuyết chính trị trong tổ chức. Ví dụ: : một cá nhân có sở hữu tâm lý đối với một công việc, nhiệm vụ có giá trị, anh ta/ cô ta có thể tham gia vào các hành vi phi chính thức nhằm bảo vệ, duy trì sở hữu của anh ta, cô ta. Những hành vi phi chính thức này được định nghĩa là hành vi chính trị trong tổ chức. Hay những nghiên cứu sau này có thể tập trung vào việc sở hữu tâm lý đối với công việc là dựa trên nền tảng cùng có lợi với tổ chức. Khi một cá nhân sở hữu tâm lý đối với công việc anh ta/ cô ta sẽ nhận được một giá trị nào đó.
