Luận án Tính dễ tổn thương và chiến lược thích ứng biến đổi khí hậu trong sinh kế của người dân tộc Khmer ở đồng bằng sông Cửu Long

Bên cạnh, những đóng góp nhất định về mặt lý luận và thực tiễn trong lĩnh vực nghiên cứu về tính DBTT về sinh kế và chiến lược thích ứng của các hộ gia đình người Khmer ở ĐBSCL trong bối cảnh BĐKH, nhưng luận án hiện vẫn có một số hạn chế tồn tại do nhiều nguyên nhân khách quan và chủ quan, cụ thể: Thứ nhất, phạm vi nghiên cứu của luận án còn hạn chế. Hiện nay, khu vực ĐBSCL đã và đang phải đối mặt với những tác động tiêu cực của BĐKH gây ra, bao gồm các thách thức lớn liên quan đến vấn đề nguồn nước, hạn hán, xâm nhập mặn, xói lở bờ biển, bão, lũ và những tác động tiêu cực khác của BĐKH. Tuy nhiên, nghiên cứu chỉ tập trung chủ yếu vào tác động của hạn hán, xâm nhập mặn và thời tiết bất thường, mà chưa nghiên cứu các loại hình thái tác động khác. Thứ hai, thời gian thu thập dữ liệu sơ cấp bắt đầu tháng 7/2020, đây là mốc thời gian nước ta vừa trải qua thời gian giãn cách toàn xã hội do đại dịch Covid-19 bùng phát. Do đó, nhiều nhà máy, công ty phải đóng cửa hoặc cắt giảm lao động nên nhiều lao động, đặc biệt là thanh niên phải di chuyển về quê sinh sống. Bên cạnh đó, một số bộ phận người dân do ảnh hưởng tâm lý sau đợt dịch bệnh Covid-19 còn e ngại và chưa có ý định di chuyển về các thành phố làm việc trở lại sau dịch. Chính vì vậy, thời điểm khảo sát lực lượng lao động nông thôn có sự gia tăng và dư thừa lao động, đặc biệt là lĩnh vực phi nông nghiệp, làm gia tăng áp lực sinh kế của các hộ gia đình Khmer. Do đó, bối cảnh tổn thương của nghiên cứu không chỉ có tác động của BĐKH mà còn thêm ảnh hưởng của dịch bệnh Covid-19, nên tính DBTT về sinh kế của hộ gia đình Khmer ở ĐBSCL được đo lường có khuynh hướng khuếch đại mức độ tổn thương.
