Chủ nghĩa yêu nước là khái niệm được nhiều nhà nghiên cứu trong lĩnh vực chính trị và
marketing chú ý trong khoảng hơn 20 năm qua. Q2.1 minh họa các khái niệm khác nhau về chủ nghĩa
yêu nước của các tác giả đi trước. Những định nghĩa khác nhau dẫn đến những biến quan sát có nội
dung đo lường khác nhau hoặc trùng lắp một phần. Ý kiến của chuyên gia sẽ giúp NCS chọn lọc được
các biến quan sát có giá trị phản ánh được lòng yêu nước của người tiêu dùng.
Q2.1 Xin vui lòng đọc kỹ khái niệm “Chủ nghĩa yêu nước” được phát biểu dưới đây:
Chủ nghĩa yêu nước “đơn giản chỉ là tình yêu của một người công dân, một tình cảm gắn kết
mạnh mẽ đối với quê hương của họ mà không giữ lấy niềm tin rằng quốc gia của họ phải vượt trội so
với những quốc gia khác ” (K&F, 1989, trang 259), (Ka, 2002, trang 648). Druc, (1994) cho rằng chủ
nghĩa yêu nước là “sự gắn kết, sự sẵn sàng hy sinh vì Tổ quốc.” (trang 47-48). SSL, (1999) phân biệt
hai loại chủ nghĩa yêu nước (1) chủ nghĩa yêu nước mù quáng (blind patriotism) và (2) chủ nghĩa yêu
nước mang tính xây dựng(constructive patriotism). Chủ nghĩa yêu nước mù quáng được định nghĩa là
“sự gắn bó với một đất nước được đặc trưng bởi những sự đánh giá tích cực không đòi hỏi, một lòng
trung thành vững chắc, không chấp nhận sự khác biệt trong quan điểm hay niềm tin đối lập.” trong
khi đó chủ nghĩa yêu nước mang tính xây dựng là “sự gắn bó với một đất nước được đặc trưng bởi sự
đóng góp qua những câu hỏi, những quan điểm phản biện về các chính sách đang thực hiện với ý định
mang lại một sự thay đổi tích cực.”(S &cộng sự., 1999, trang 151). Những định nghĩa này sau đó
được chấp nhận và kiểm định qua các nghiên cứu của (F&Z, 2015); (G& , 2011); (H&K, 2007).
Những phát biểu bên dưới nói lên suy nghĩ, thái độ, nhận thức về lòng yêu nước của người dân ở quốc
gia Y. Các tác giả trước đã đo lường lòng yêu nước của họ .
